The School of Religion in the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Buddhist Studies (China) for Fall 2020. The successful candidate will be expected to sustain an active career of research and publication, along with teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in Chinese religions, Buddhism, and method and theory in the study of religions.  Candidates should have a demonstrated mastery of both modern and classical Chinese.
