OCHIAI Toshinori 落合俊典 is a professor at the International College for Postgraduate Buddhist Studies in Tokyo, Japan. He received his PhD from Bukkyo University. He is primarily interested in East Asian Buddhism, in particular research on Buddhist sutras. His present work involves research on topics such as Japanese manuscripts, the Heart Sutra in the Tang dynasty, and the Dunhuang manuscripts of the former collection of Shengduo Li. His major monograph is a compilation of materials on the manuscripts of Nanatsu-dera, published between 1994-2000.
