Biao Zhang is a PhD student at the Department of East Asian Studies of McGill University. Biao received his Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology at Shandong University, and a first Master’s degree in Buddhist Studies at the University of Hong Kong, and completed a second Master’s degree at Department of East Asian Studies, McGill University. He studies Chinese Buddhist art and visual culture from the eighth to the fourteenth century CE.
