March 15, 2016 — Book Art Installation by Naomi Kasumi, “MEM: memory ∙ memorial no. 7 scriptorium”

Join us for the opening reception on March 15 at the Asian Centre.  This new exhibit by Naomi Kasumi will be available from March 15 to May 31, 2016. Naomi Kasumi is an artist-scholar based in Seattle whose work extends to book art, printmaking, video, and graphics. The artist was asked to install a book-related piece as part of the research roundtable organized by Christina Laffin and Jinhua Chen. The work, “MEM: memory • memorial no. 7 scriptorium,” consists of 9 tapestry-like books with 9 stories.
